BEN BEATTIE is a full-time fishing guide and outdoor writer from Sioux Lookout, in Northwestern Ontario. Ben guides on famous Lac Seul for walleye and muskie. For more information visit

JILLIAN A BROWN is a Canadian born adventure photographer. Diagnosed with PTSD a few short years ago, she has used this to fuel her drive to connecting others to nature, adventure and themselves. She is particularly known for her niche of taking cameras to the extremes of paddling and remote expeditions accompanied by stories of her personal journeys along the way. Within her documenting, she has been able to achieve a World first, of paddling a Tandem sea kayak down the Colorado River through the Grand Canyon and becoming the first Canadian to paddle across America. Pushing herself both physically and mentally, she knows no boundaries with her goal to connect others to the natural world, to living a life of passion and showcasing deep, and influential story telling within her photography and writing. Taking on a new position this year as lead guide, and CEO of Camp My Way to connect and support others in the most powerful of means. Utilizing her Lived Experience to help provide our First Responders, Veterans, At Risk Youth and their families effect.

LARRY JENC graduated from Sauk Center Senior High School in 1967. Shortly after graduation he enlisted into the US Navy where he was assigned to US Navel Air. After entering he went to boot camp and then onto jet engine school where he spent a year learning to become a trained jet engine technician. After five years, was discharged in 1972. In 1973, Larry attended Outboard Marine Corporation school to enter the marine field to become a marine outboard technician. He went on to become a master technician after seven years and spent twenty-two year with his employer. After his time as a master technician, he decided to utilize his skills and become a consultant partnering with several new start-up dealers. In 1997, Larry joined Marine Max being hired as a mobile service technician working on systems in 35 to 60 foot boats. Currently he holds a position as a delivery captain teaching new owners how to use their boats. In addition to, Larry also hosts Woman on Water classes and is a guest speaker for the National Marine Manufacture Association.

JOEL NELSON is a well-known TV/Media partner in the fishing and hunting industry. A selfadmitted “fish nerd,” Nelson holds advanced degrees in the natural sciences, including fisheries and digital mapping, allowing him to both think like a fish and find them. Annually, he participates in numerous TV, Radio, and writing venues, highlighting relevant stories on his website – Joel Nelson Outdoors. Joel works with the biggest names in ice-fishing, open-water, and hunting; all while focusing on genuine experiences and the how-to’s he’s picked up along the way.

TONY ROACH is a well-respected fishing guide, tournament angler, and outdoor communicator, spending close to 300 days on the open water and ice annually. He operates Roach’s Guide Service in Minnesota and has become known as the hardest working, most successful guides in the Upper Midwest. Tony’s friendly grin and relaxed personality make him approachable during tradeshow appearances, seminars, and out on the lake. He enjoys teaching everything from fishing basics to subtle adjustments that catch more fish. Tony has been involved in the development of many new fishing products, hard water and soft. Tony’s knowledge of the hottest fisheries and angling techniques are featured in regional and national print and broadcast, including In-Fisherman, Angling Buzz, Midwest Outdoors, Game and Fish, Great Lakes Angler and many more. Tony also distributes video fishing information via YouTube and his own websites.
